Wow, just, yea, wow

Remember when we talked about kids making rapid advances when they are young? And how their vocabulary expands?

Well, we forgot to mention the really sweet stuff about when they start to read their own books out loud. Now, we know that most of the words aren't well, words, but I hope you enjoy this video. Tell me what you think.

Wow! According to my parents, C-baby does this too (pretending to read the books aloud), but never when I'm around. If I'm there, she insists on me reading to her. But if it's just other people, she kind of wants to show off so she'll read for them. But never for me or Dave. Weird, huh?

Anyway, that is very cool. She is getting to be such a little grown-up girl! Can't believe she'll be 2 next month!

I love that little chattering! It's so awesome. But my favorite is when you ask her, "Is that bunny running away?" and she's like "Yeah" as if to say, "Well, DUH, mom, that's what I've been TELLING you about!" Super-cute!

We were talking to Miss C's grandparents the other day and Miss C decided to sit down and read another book out loud. My FIL asked "who is she reading to?" All DH could say was "anyone who will listen". I think Miss C must believe that reading aloud is how you read because that's how we read with her and how they read at school. When she points at the words while she is reading, I can't help but laugh and beam, since she is just imitating us. She cracks me up!
